The collection of fine arts, also with works ba amateurs, contains graphics, drawings, printings, caricatures, poster draughts as well as painting and rescues several beautiful items. Among a lithograph of Walter Ruttmann (1919), Wolfgang Wegener's oil portrait of Albert Wilkening, the long-term director of the DEFA Feature Film Studios, there are find numerous portrait caricatures by Harald Kretzschmar (Simone Signoret, Kurt Maetzig), portrait drawings by Gerhard Vontra (Henny Porten, Mary Pickford) and as a highlight an woodcut by Erich Heckel showing Asta Nielsen (1919). There are also portraits of single artists like Hans Alber, Zarah Leander, Willy Birgel or Johannes Heesters as well as works of scenographer like Alfred Hirschmeier and Peter Wilde as well as the painter Alfred Born.
The stock is growing constantly due to transfers from personal collections and the systematic acquisition of individual items
