Exhibition and event posters from the 25-year history of the film museum were shown in the foyer of the Marstall in Potsdam.
The selection included landmarks of the museum′s history and, consequently, started with the poster that announced a preview on the film museum in the orangery of the "Neuer Garten" 26 years ago. Of course, the exhibition featured the posters of the extensive permanent exhibitions on Babelsberg film history. Since the early 1990s, most of the posters as well as the logo have been designed by grappa design (later: Blotto Design Berlin), a group of young designers from Berlin that received several awards for the designs developed for the museum. Ingo Orgzall, a poster collector from Potsdam, gave the museum a hand-signed Armin Mueller Stahl exhibition poster as a loan. Same as the April 2006 cinema programme that, for the first time, consisted of the film wishes of the museum employees, the anniversary poster exhibition took their preferences into account. When all posters were displayed for preselection in the collections′ facilities, the museum organisers were almost startled: We made all of this and even more? At the same time, what they saw encouraged them: We succeeded doing this! Hopefully, the next projects and posters will bring the same success and a poster exhibition on the occasion of the museum′s 50th anniversary in 2031.
