The stock of the photo archive contains approximately 160,000 portraits of German and international actors, directors, cinematographers and other representatives of the film business. Among the pictures are autographs of Marlene Dietrich, Lilian Harvey, Ernst Lubitsch, Willy Fritsch, Romy Schneider and Anna Magnani. Due to acquisitions of collections and estates, stars like Hans Albers, Zarah Leander or Henny Porten are represented, each with 2,000 to 2,500 photos. Numerous portraits of DEFA film people are available.
The postcard collection encompasses portraits of all significant Ufa actors, German artists of the 1950s to 1970s and international stars. Around 600 autographs are included in this stock.
